All you need to know about how to create a viewing request

Property URL

The first thing that a Viewer needs in order to arrange and attend your viewing is the URL of the property. A Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is the link at the top of your browser that the Viewer can use to access the same webpage you are looking at.

Viewers will use this URL to view the property details, get the contact details of the estate agent and as reference to arrange the viewing.

Every property found online from any website should have a URL.

All you need to do is Copy and Paste this URL into the field provided.

Property address and post code

Then, we'll need the address of the property and its post code. This is needed for a couple of reasons.

  1. The post code is used to match your viewing request with the closest and highest rated Viewer.

  2. It is used as a confirmation that both parties (you the Seeker and the Viewer) are talking about the same property.

If the post code is not provided on the page, you can click the 'I don't know the post code' box.

All you need to do is Copy and Paste the address and the post code into the field provided.

If everything is done correctly the field border will turn green.

Your ideal move-in date

Your move-in date is important because it's something that the agents ask when trying to arrange a viewing. They get specific instructions from landlords on when they want a tenant to move-in the latest.

The Viewer will let them know of when you want to move-in by while on the call with them.

All you need to do is choose a date from the dropdown calendar.

Number of Residents

This is information needed by estate agents. Our Viewers are asked when trying to arrange the viewing 'for how many people are they looking for?'.

This is to check if potential tenants meet the financial requirements to rent the property. For example, a one-bedroom, double-bed property can be rented to a single person or a couple. But, the financial requirement needed doesn't change (approximately 2.5 times the rental amount).

All you need to do is type the number of people who are looking to rent for.

Questions you could ask

Sometimes you don't know what to ask for when looking at a property. This is why we've created some questions that you could ask our Viewers to ask/check.

These questions make up some of the most important things you'll need to know before moving into the property.

All you need to do is choose which ones you want answers for.

Add your own questions

Next, is an open text field where you can write any question or check you can think of that you want your Viewer to perform.

This is you chance to personalise your checklist and go down to the detail. Everything you write here will be given to your Viewer and they'll do their best to get answers.

All you need to do is type any question or check you want. Or you can leave blank.

Viewer's opinion

Finally, you have the chance to know your Viewer's opinion on the property. Throughout the process and in all material sent over to you, your Viewer will be as objective as possible.

If you choose to know their opinion, they'll include a message at the end of the report that includes their opinion on the property. This might be that you should definitely make an offer, or that you could not proceed along with other matters.

All you need to do is choose the option by clicking the box.
